Tamela Mann is one such gospel singer and actress who has mesmerized the gospel music scene with her soulful music. Tamela started her career in music at a very young age. By the time she was 12, Tamela was already singing in the church’s adult choir.

Tamela Mann’s Music Career

Tamela Mann started her music career as a singer with the gospel group Kirk Franklin and the Family. Her tracks with the Franklin group include “Don’t Take Your Joy”, “Lean on Me”, “Now Behold the Lamb” amongst others. Tamela released her debut album in 2005 and went on to release several successful albums throughout her career.

“Best Days” was Tamela’s third studio album that was certified Gold by the RIAA. The album also won her a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance. Apart from her musical creations, Tamela is also known for her role as Cora Simmons in Tyler Perry’s plays. That include “I Can Do Bad All By Myself”, “Diary of a Mad Black Women” and many more.

Life and New Ventures

Married to David Mann, Tamela and her husband have also starred in Tyler Perry’s plays. Apart from her musical and acting pursuits, Tamela has also launched her own line of clothing in 2019. It is called “The Tamela Mann Collection”. Focusing on workout wear and fitness apparel for women, her brand has received great success. With never-ending love for the Lord that grows by the day. Tamela has been creating soulful music that goes in through the ear but leads straight to the heart!
